Terms of Service

Welcome to Zen! These terms outline the rules for using our invoicing platform. We've tried to keep things simple and fair for everyone.

1. What is Zen?

Zen helps you create, manage, and send professional invoices. Here's what you can do:

• Create, edit, and send invoices
• Manage your clients and track payments
• Use our AI assistant to help generate invoices faster
• Let your clients pay invoices online by connecting your own Stripe account
• Export your invoices in different formats

2. Your Account

To use Zen, you'll need to create an account using your email, Google, or Apple sign-in. Please use accurate information and keep your login details secure. If you notice any suspicious activity on your account, let us know right away.

3. Free and Paid Plans

We offer both free and paid plans:

• Free Plan: Great for getting started with basic invoicing
• Zen Pro: Unlocks unlimited invoices and all Pro features

Zen Pro is an auto-renewable subscription, billed monthly or yearly through your Apple ID at the price shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your Apple ID account settings; you keep Pro until the period you paid for ends. Refunds are handled by Apple. If we change prices, we'll let you know in advance, as Apple requires. Your use of the App Store is also covered by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

4. Playing Fair

We trust you to use Zen responsibly. Please don't use it to:

• Create fake or fraudulent invoices
• Break any laws
• Harm or harass others
• Try to hack or disrupt our service

5. AI Assistant

Our AI copilot can help you draft invoices quickly. A few things to know:

• Always review AI-generated content before sending - it's a helpful starting point, but you know your business best
• Your conversations with the AI are not used to train AI models

6. Stripe Integration

If you connect your Stripe account, you'll need to have a valid Stripe account and follow their terms. We help connect the two services, but Stripe handles all the payment processing on their end.

7. Your Content

Everything you create in Zen - your invoices, client info, and business data - belongs to you. We only access it to provide the service to you. Our app and its design remain ours.

8. Privacy

We care about your privacy. Check out our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

9. What We Promise (and Don't)

We work hard to keep Zen running smoothly, but we can't guarantee it will be perfect 100% of the time. We're not tax or legal experts, so please make sure your invoices meet the requirements in your area.

10. Liability

We do our best to provide a reliable service, but if something goes wrong, our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months. We're not responsible for indirect damages like lost profits or business opportunities.

11. Closing Your Account

You can close your account anytime by emailing us at support@zeninvoice.io. We may also close accounts that violate these terms. If your account is closed, you'll have 30 days to export your data.

12. Disagreements

If we ever have a dispute, let's try to work it out together first. These terms are governed by US law (Delaware, specifically).

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know. Continuing to use Zen after changes means you accept the new terms.
